Slime Care
Handmade slime melts over time and in heat. Keep it alive and well by caring for it properly. Think of it like a pet - feed it and nurture it. For adults who don’t want slime at home, this prevents messes and it’s a great way to teach kiddos the art of responsibility.
Always wash your hands before and after sliming. If you get food in your slime, it will get moldy.
Have activator at the ready any time you play with slime. Activator makes slime less sticky - it bonds the molecules of glue to itself versus you.
Before playing, do the "one finger test." Use one finger to see if the slime is sticky. If nothing sticks, you're good to go. If it is sticky, use the activator as needed (a little bit at a time or on your hands).
Keep it away from heat - it will melt.
If you get slime on your clothes, furniture, rugs or hair, it will come out with white vinegar and water (do this before trying anything else).
If your slime feels tough or rippy, add lotion to soften it (as a clear slime, we recommend glycerin).
Store slime in an air tight container.
Check in on your slime regularly and activate when it’s necessary; the more attention it gets, the more it will thrive.
